I'm sorry to learn about the new development

in this incident.

For whatever good it does now, my experience follows:

- the other guy had liability-only.

- he was under-insured.

- mine was comprehensive with under-insured coverage.

- called my insurer (Progressive) and the other guy's (State Farm)

End result:

- State Farm paid my deductible and 100 dollars more for loss of personal items in the car.

- Progressive paid the full coverage, and said they'd settle with State Farm.

- I forgot which company covered my car rental for a week. I think it was State Farm but really not sure about it.
