Sells gold firm in order to focus on uranium
Cameco Corp.'s announcement that it is selling its gold asset Centerra Gold Inc. is in line with a corporate plan to focus on the core uranium business, says a company spokesperson.
"Uranium is our largest segment and certainly that's where we want to focus on in the future," Lyle Krahn said Tuesday from Cameco's Saskatoon headquarters.
