你先看看男克的经历。

从大一开始她就参加政治活动，是当地共和党基层的青年领袖。有兴趣的话可以在wiki上找后面的段落看看。总之是跟着共和党系统一路往上。从商界入手,然后子女尽早进入政治圈，一路向上,这基本上是美国政治的常态。有兴趣可以看看肯尼迪家族是怎么进入政坛的。大致上就可以了解美国政坛的一些脉络。肯尼迪家族的产业比Rodham要大很多，起步也早的多，认定更兴旺，所以这个家族在政治上也更加成功。这就更不要说那些更为古老的家族了。另外，如果希拉里是个男的，恐怕也会比现在成功得多。
顺便说一句，这位是卫斯理学院的，和宋美龄是校友。
相比之下男克就逊色多了，早年几乎没有值得一提的政治经历。除了给某参议员打工，顺便逃兵役。这就是平民子弟和有政治企图心的富家子弟的区别。
这也就是为啥我说在美国没有背景基本不可能混成高官。平民子弟直接就输在起跑线上。女克大一就成为当地青年政治领袖，男克那时候还在抽大麻呢。

施瓦辛格呢，他自己啥都不是，一个从奥地利来的第一代移民。但他的老婆是Maria Shriver，听起来不像是名人，但要注意他丈母娘是Eunice Kennedy Shriver。这已经够清楚了吧。

肯尼迪家族这边自不必说，千万别以为Shriver先生也只是上门女婿。人家可是有家族政治传统的。

在美国，政治这东西本来就烧钱，没有组织经验更是不行。一个成熟的政治世家往往拥有自己的政治关系网和智囊。这些东西的积累需要至少一代人。没有这些东西，恐怕连本地参议员都选不上，更别说州长、总统之类的了。
很多美国政客，直系亲属里面有可能你找不到什么靠山。但是要是真的没有靠山的话，这些人是永远不可能出头的。
