　　新华网快讯：据日本共同社12日报道，日本经济产业大臣海江田万里当天凌晨宣布，将释放福岛第一核电站一号机组核反应堆容器内的压力，届时可能会有微量含有放射性物质的蒸汽外泄。

请教一下。福岛第一核电站一号机是沸水堆。应该是直接用水冷却的吧。为什么还需要美国空军急运冷却剂呢？

The United State is rushing coolant to a Japanese nuclear reactor whose cooling system failed after a power outage caused by Friday's massive earthquake off northeastern Japan.

State Department: No Emergency Delivery to Japanese Nuclear Plant

“They have very high engineering standards, but one of their plants came under a lot of stress with the earthquake and didn’t have enough coolant, and so Air Force planes were able to deliver that,” Mrs. Clinton said at a meeting of President Barack Obama’s Export Council.

Late this afternoon, a State Department spokeswoman said that, to the contrary, the Air Force did not provide assistance to the Fukushima power plant, located north of Tokyo.

“Regarding the question of whether US Air Force delivered assistance to a nuclear plant in Japan, I’m told that ultimately the Japanese Government handled the situation on its own,” State Department spokeswoman Julie Reside said in an email.

For its part, the Air Force said it had no indication that it had delivered coolant or any other supplies to the stricken power plant.

下面24小时是关键。在堆芯完全冷下来前，希望水循环泵能及时正常工作保持反应堆内的水位。 不然水烧干了还是有可能成为下一个三哩岛的。
