Most chinese on this forum have not read the middle-east history at all.

Those are excellent raw materials for mercenary, but never a source of scientists and disciplined industrial workers. To be frank, those stinky barbarians do not even have irrigation system or agricultural industry to boast about.

Middle-east has excellent location for international trade--those tribes lived by serving as the trading bridge between the West and East. That's the ONLY role it served in the pre-oil-discovery period.

BTW, my comments do not include Iranians--those are civilized people with sophisticated man power. Persians are NOT Arabic, they are also not Turkic...
