IMF is the backyard of European financial elites. They read the numbers and they know the headache down the road.

PIIGs want EU restructuring with more free wellfare transfer from rich nations, BUT WITHOUT loss of national sovereignty--so that the PIIGs political elites can stil enjoy free lunch and political persk. Rich nations want more voting power and super-national control over EU institutions, rather than just play the role of stupid sweet daddy. Both sides are playing a dangerous game with funny implications. At certain point, capital control will be needed.

IMF rule changes have nothing to do with developing nations: they are NOW net contributors and their balance of payments and banking system health are both in their best position in 20 years.

All the IMF rule changes are prepared for Europe and (probably) America, so-called advanced nations. Actually 70% of IMF resources have been spent and wasted on Eastern Europe and PIIG Europeans already. Sorry to call them PIIGs, maybe I should take out Ireland which shows more stamina and manhood in biting the bullet of austerity.

All the remaining wellfare-eater nations, I have to call them just PIGs nations.
