Personal informations:

Nov. 1942 born in a rich jewish family in Arad, west Romania close to Hungary border. (The City was belong to Hungary until 1920. So he might understand some German.)

About 10% population of the city was jewish at that time. In 1942 there was plan to deport all Jews of Arad to the Belzec extermination camp, later the plan was canceled. So his family survived with the most Jews from the region.

Educated at Carmel College,England, the London School of Economics and Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, USA.

Wife, Dalya Luttwak (1943-) an artist born and grew up in Isarel (her family originally from Czechoslovakia).

Move to US 1973 with his wife and later both became America citizen.

two children-- daughter, Yael Luttwak, born in 1972; son, Joseph, born in 1975.

Very smart person, published his first book, Coup d’tat: A Practical Handbook, at the age of 26. Worked/working as a high-level strategic and intelligence consultant for DoD, the National Security Council, the State Department, the Japanese government and NATO. Beside "public intelligence" he is also involved in secretive activities that include field operations, extraditions, arrests, interrogations and counterterrorism training.
