Indians realize that only Gold can help them to preserve their purchasing power--> they will go ahead and buy more! It is the start of a vicious cycle. If you do not allow them to import, they will smuggle, just like the flat-panel TV.

In US, it is very difficult to buy 100% pure gold. Most gold jewelry is 12k.
Gold coin market is monopolized by Jewish merchants in NYC. For average Joes, the only option is to buy the overpriced gold eagle coin from the gov. mint.
