Correction: An earlier version of this article incorrectly identified the name and age of the U.S. citizen who died of the virus in Wuhan. The American who died was 60 years old. Hong Ling, who also died in Wuhan, was 53 years old and spent many years in the United States but was not a U.S. citizen. The article has been updated.
