2008.8.19，奥运十二天，汶川百日。体育成绩值得庆祝，灾难同样值得纪念。

享受中国体育腾飞的举国之喜，并不意味着可以忘却汶川百日之殇。

丧钟为谁而鸣（For whom the bell tolls）摘自英国诗人、传教士John Donne (1572-1631)关于探索人性相互依存关系的作品《Devotions Upon Emergent Occasions, Meditation XVII》，部分文字如下：

No man is an island, entire of itself;

every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main.

If a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less,

as well as if a promontory were,

as well as if a manor of thy friend's or of thine own were:

any man's death diminishes me,

because I am involved in mankind,

and therefore never send to know for whom the bells tolls;

it tolls for thee.

据说这段诗被海明威（Ernest Hemingway，1899-1961）登在1940的同名小说《战地钟声（For whom the bell tolls）》扉页上，或许算是后世对John Donne诗句最成功的引用吧。关于该诗的中文译文有多种版本，不再列举。

丧钟为谁而鸣，它就为你而鸣（for whom the bells tolls,it tolls for you. ）。

别人的不幸也就是我们自己的不幸，因为人类共整体同命运。

前些日子某处读到这段话，5.12以来纠缠自己多日的困惑霎时消散：我为汶川悲，同是为己悲。

人性深处，在基督教也好、佛教也好，都有共通的地方。

可能会发生的灾难，长久时间积累之后便一定会发生；灾难发生之后，也便会有一段长久时间的安定。汶川也是如此。

灾难之后，除悲伤之外，还会让生者更加明白生的意义，更加了解灾害的威力，更加清楚我们在灾害面前所欠缺的应对措施。灾难值得纪念的意义或许也包含此。

七七日内，据业受生，七七日后，随业受报。汶川众生已入六道。

愿死者安息，生者安心。百日之时，仅作纪念。
