The war concluded with one more terrible episode. Ahead of the advancing Soviets and Partisans fled masses of German and Croatian soldiers, Ustasha fascists, Chetnik guerrillas and civilians of every creed and nationality, generally to Austria. A majority of them were subsequently turned over to the Partisans by the British commanders in their zone of occupation, often by lying to the refugees. Their return took the form of a death march in which the Partisans killed perhaps 30,000 people, dumping the corpses into ravines. Similar scenes took place in the so-called Vojvodina, where German and Hungarian peasants became the victims of Partisan fury. As for Mihailovic, he was executed by a firing squad on July 17, 1946, on a Belgrade golf course.

所以这段史实应该不会有错。至於铁托这样做的目的，我就不敢妄自揣测了。不过那么多切特尼克和乌斯塔沙士兵反正投诚，这3万多人硬是不从，跟着德军跑到奥地利，大概属於中国所谓“死不改悔”一类的，在当时极左路线下被消灭也是情理之中。
