It will rise again. It still has the

1) reservoir of talents in all kinds of leading industries.

2) most efficient, somewhat brutal private sector.

3) the reservoir of political talents from the WASP establishment.

4) the best geopolitical location: safe on all sides of its borders.

Personally, I think Obama is an okay and loveable person. But he is not qualified as a president and he is going to create bigger mess by 2015.

If USD collapses, the two biggest losers are Japan and China. So Americans can still retreat and live like a regional power.
