    • 家园 China's Nemesis

Eighty years ago, someone named Lu Xun lamented the nemesis of his nation was people either managed to live comfortably as slaves, or not had the fortune to do so.

Eighty years later, Sheng Shi (the prosperous age) has returned where people can live comfortably as slaves with law governing them and them only. Many calmly debate whether the law is violated by those that do not want to be slaves, and whether death is the right sentence for them when their act risks to un-harmonize the Sheng Shi.

This is not a place to extract books and dissertations. Just two side notes as food for thought.

      1. After those that do not want to be slaves collectively are eliminated, the nemesis of this nation will swing to the other side.

      2. America is much more diverse than China. Yet its citizens can carry concealed weapons while still maintaining a much higher level of "harmony".

      -----------

From another response - add to what is missing here.

... it is a political decision when to engage law.

Over the past thirty years, law was rarely engaged against criminals from certain minorities over the crimes they committed towards Han people. Law was always engaged, and over engaged, over Han criminals under the same circumstances. Anyone?

7/5 and 7/6 of 2009 in Urumqi. It is no longer isolated criminal acts. That thousands of men, women and children slain in the street simply because their ethnic appearance, perpetuated by men, women and children of another ethnic group, is ethnic cleansing and crime against humanity.

Where was law on 7/5 and 7/6 in the street of Urumqi?

I wouldn't have a problem if law were enforced throughout. In fact, that's my ideal.

Today's America is a law ruling society. Because of that ethnic cleansing doesn't happen inside its owner border. When it does happen by external forces on 9/11, America declared war. America declared 9/11 perpetuators and their accomplices enemy combatants, not criminals protected by American legal system.

It is not law, stupid. It is the ruling class.

      两少一宽就错在无原则的宽大罪犯,难道还要继续鼓励汉人也去犯法?

      • 家园 本来不想理你们了,但是今天

        新的结果出来了,给你宝贵的一蛋

      • 家园 我有两点看法

        1.法律就是通电的高压线,碰了就死;

        2.效率要高,啥意思呢?每个人干事,尤其是干坏事之前都会考虑一件事,我会不会被抓住(或者用个中立字眼“反馈”),然后才考虑会受到怎样的处罚(是不是能称为“反馈的力度”呢?)

        • 家园 我完全同意

          补充一点看法:关于效率高。审判这样一个案子,要充分调查取证,当庭辩论,需要很长时间,往往以年计。据说美国911的案子到现在还没有判决。加之这次案子规模大,要审判的人多,而且要审得滴水不漏以免外人挑刺,工作量不是一般的大。政府和执法部门也是两难,压力不小。因此我觉得几个月就审判第一批案犯,这个效率已经非常非常高了。

          • 家园 911杀人的都撞死了,这次杀人的被逮着的多

            直接施暴者是容易审判的,背后的难

          • 家园 那是对付大头目,可以拿几个小喽罗先显示决心!

            至于那几个就是看造化了。这些小喽罗的案情应该不复杂,而且有直接的血债,说句不好听的,这就是祭刀的极品啊!

      • 家园 血债血偿

        矫枉必须过正

        如果这次判死刑的维族人不到50个,政府就是无能。
