I heard of Taihang and the existence of many other engine programs, what I haven't seen is anything concrete that PLA is confident enough to put on its own fighters. Just because prototype is out and experiments are being conducted doesn't mean whatever is being developed is of enough quality to be actually usable. It's not the first time TG bungled the quality control problem. I don't have any inside info, and I don't usually believe claims made by people who claim to have inside info. As long as it's not in the open, or at least so open secret that everybody knows. I won't buy it. I don't care what kind fancy parameters Taihang or some other engine prototypes claim to excel at, if they were not usable on real fighters, they're of no use. As far as I know, at this moment, they're still of no use.
