家园 Goddess of Freedom

Ha, pretty fun. Where did you get Goddess of Freedom? I remember it is called Statue of liberty in some of those tutorial materials. Also Santa Claus appeared in some of Text books ba.

My opinion is the most obvious problem of Chinese students, could be the way of speaking English is wrong. We are basically using English grammar to do translation, in stead of following their usages. In a conversation, or writing, we are tending to match word by word according to limited English vocabulary, which could make completely confusing sentences. Some words are scaringly abused due to the insuffient understanding of its meaning. For instance, a Chinese student sends a message to the CASSA mailing list to look for an apartment. tiled with "Find an apartment", which is quite confusing. Certainly, here he should use look for an apartment, or want an apartment. So, it would be of great help if one can use proper expressions, instead of making some expression completely by self.
